I miss God. I miss the company of someone utterly loyal. I still don’t think of God as my betrayer. The servants of God, yes, but servants by their very nature betray.
God always makes sense but not always a human kind of sense.
For he who loves God without faith reflects on himself, while the person who loves God in faith reflects on God.
Perhaps we invented gods so that we could put blame on them.
But that God sounds a lot like Zeus – a super-powerful man, playing with his toys the way my youngest brothers play with toy soldiers. If they’re yours, you make the rules. Who cares what the toys think. Wipe out a toy’s family, then give it a brand new family.

Growing up, Father led me to believe that those who clung to the myth of the gods were weak. They relied on beings they could never see, dedicating their lives to faceless entities.
God exists wherever He is allowed to enter.
God is subtle, but He is not cruel.
There's hope in understanding the nature of God - not punishing or jealous, but infinitely malleable. There's comfort in realizing that everyone and everything yields to God. There's power in knowing that God can be focused, diverted, shaped by anyone at all.
This is the greatest gift God can give you: to understand what happened in your life. To have it explained. It is the peace you have been searching for.
